But high demand could also lead to long advance scheduling times. So the Commission on Affairs of the Elderly asked the Department of Innovation and Technology to procure scheduling software that would optimize for more efficient operations and improved customer service.
Boston chose Citymart BidSpark to engage over 1,000 vendors, eventually sourcing the winning bid from an SME that had not previously worked with the city.
